The CSRA Trauma Society and it's instructors provides specialized health and safety training to fit any need that you or your facility may have. We, the Trauma Society, assist you by teaching classes, to assist you, in CPR (to cover any age), First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogen, Community Fire Safety and EMS First Responder. Greg and his instructors specialize in Child Care Professional classes for CEU credit such as child abuse, injury prevention, emergency preparedness, SIDS, playground safety, food safety and transportation safety. Other curriculum, that you or your facility may need, can be provided upon request, just call Greg for to set up these classes.

Course Descriptions

HeartSaver CPR Course - The Heartsaver CPR AED course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 United States. It teaches child care providers and others to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in an infant, child or adult in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The HeartSaver CPR Course teaches CPR with the use of a barrier device and relief of choking in infants, children or adults.

BLS Healthcare Provider Course - The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

First Aid Course - First Aid is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies.

ACLS Provider Course - ACLS is an advanced, instructor-led classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course, skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.

BloodBorne Pathogen Training - The Bloodborne Pathogens Course is a classroom course that teaches employees how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction.

Community Fire Safety Training - This class addresses OSHA fire safety and prevention measures and describes emergency action plans, fire prevention plans, fire detectors and alarms, and fire extinguishing equipment.
